I'm always impressed when a service provider takes the time to educate me about the product I bought. Eddie explained the protocols for maintaining my mini-splits
, provided me with the knowledge that he brought to the inspection and showed me how to improve the longevity of the product. In the process he convinced me to extend my service.

Eric, our Sanford tech, did wonderful as always. maintaining our beast of a heating system takes skill. He is prompt and kind gets the maintenance taken care of quickly. He doesn’t mind the annoying dogs or the beam that you have to duck under going up and down stairs.

They check in the day before coming and Eric texts when on the way. He is always on time. We have been very happy with the work and the professionalism.

This was my first time using Sanford. Derek was amazing. He diagnosed the problem quickly, showed me the problem, and then quoted me a price which was very reasonable. He had the part on the truck and had the problem fixed within a half hour. From the person I made the appointment with, Irish, to the dispatcher I spoke with for an estimated time of arrival, to Derek, my experience was nothing but positive. I had such a great experience that I will always use Sanford for my heating, cooling, and plumbing needs. Highly recommended!

After Sanford did such an impressive job installing our new Bosch furnace last winter, it was a no brainer as to who we wanted to add a central air conditioner to our house.
They gave us two options and we chose to go with a heat pump. Jason and his team did an incredible job installing the system in just a single day. The quality of their workmanship is second to none and he couldn’t be a nicer person to work with.

We had Brian B come to our home to conduct a follow up visit to evaluate our Carrier AC that was installed in February. Just like the three-man crew who did the installation, Brian B did an outstanding job of making sure that everything was working just fine. Our Journey: The History of Sanford Temperature Control

Sanford Temperature Control’s story began in 1982 when Dale Sanford founded the company in the quaint town of Greenfield, NH. What started as a small operation, with Dale personally handling HVAC service and maintenance, evolved into a robust business supported by over a dozen dedicated employees and servicing more than 1,000 home HVAC maintenance plans each year. His wife, Ellen Sanford, was instrumental in this growth, managing the office and handling all administrative duties with a sharp eye for detail.

Over the years, Dale was able to shift his focus to handling sales, eventually stepping back into a supervisory and managerial role. His leadership saw the company flourish, necessitating a move to a larger facility in Milford, NH to accommodate the growing team and expanding operations.

In 2022, a new chapter began when Dale and Ellen decided to retire and pass the reins to Rich Jordan, a young blue-collar entrepreneur that began his career in the Marine Corps infantry, departing service as a Captain. Rich brought a fresh perspective and vigorous energy to Sanford, building upon the solid foundation laid by Dale and Ellen. He has been dedicated to enhancing both the customer and employee experience, significantly investing in staff development and advanced training programs.

Rich’s leadership marked a significant milestone for Sanford as he relocated the company headquarters to Manchester, NH, in 2024. This strategic move placed Sanford closer to major highways, optimizing our service delivery across the region and allowing us to respond more quickly to our customers' needs.

The same year, Sanford embarked on a groundbreaking partnership with Bill Trombly Plumbing Heating Cooling and Electric, another storied local business with over 50 years of service in Manchester. Founded by the esteemed Bill Trombly Sr., a pioneering figure in the New Hampshire plumbing industry, the company was most recently owned and operated by his son, Bill Trombly Jr. This partnership merged two legacy companies under the Sanford brand, creating one of the largest residential trades companies in the state of New Hampshire.

Today, Sanford operates with a renewed commitment to excellence and community service, continuing to uphold the legacies of both Dale Sanford and Bill Trombly. As we move forward, we remain dedicated to providing exceptional service and cultivating a nurturing work environment for our team, ensuring that Sanford Temperature Control remains a trusted name in home comfort solutions for years to come.
